Streetlight Shakers is a piano driven rock band dedicated to creating a vintage sound for the modern era. Switching effortlessly from rowdy dance grooves to sentimental ballads, Streetlight Shakers delivers sophisticated musicality and thought-provoking lyrics in a unique pop package. Using rich harmony, soaring melody, and a driving rhythm, they create songs that tell powerful stories with messages that are universally relatable.

In 2019 the band released their debut EP “A Light In The Dark” and quickly garnered local acclaim, being awarded “Best New Band 2019” by readers of the Hartford Courant and taking home first prize in Infinity Hall’s Big Stage Open Mic Competition. They have brought their music to stages throughout the Northeast region and won critical acclaim from audiences, indie music blogs, radio and playlist curators alike.

The band began 2020 by heading into the studio to work with producers Rob Griffith and Andy Sorenson on a new single called "The Story", now available on all major streaming services. In the midst of the pandemic, the band moved their performances online with a series of videos called “Songs In The Key Of Quarantine”, and live-streamed performances. They were featured performers of the first ever online edition of the Hartbeat Music Festival.

Streetlight Shakers continues to deliver high energy shows to audiences throughout the Northeast. They’re newest release, “Chase The Blues Away”, was entirely self-engineered and self-produced. The band has also started working on their first full-length album which will feature some of their best work to date, hoping to release in 2022.

“Few bands show the combination of skill and passion that Connecticut's Streetlight Shakers do…The elegant vocals of Jeff Boratko lead the way past intricate basslines and finely-crafted drum patterns, telling a story easy to relate to, easy to imagine.” - Rene Cobar, The Deli Magazine
